However, seeing as much of their time will be spent at your tables, you will want to ensure that they are pleased with their seats!

We understand the importance of creating a proper seating chart for your wedding! That’s why, here at Contagious Events, we have gathered some tips for preparing your own. Would you like to discover what these tips are? If so, continue reading to gain some great insight:

  • Singles. There will most likely be an array of single guests attending your big day. However, the last thing that you should do is seat them all together! If you do, this could have them feeling quite awkward. Instead, seat a couple of single guests at each table. Who knows, you may even have the opportunity to play match-maker.
  • Parents. Are your parents still together? Or, do they still get along? If so, they should certainly sit together, along with your partner’s parents. However, if seating your parents together would pose as a problem, have them placed separately, with close family members, such as their children or siblings.
  • Your Bridal Party. With many bridesmaids and groomsmen standing beside you on your big day, you should also keep them together during your wedding reception! In addition, it would be best to sit with them as well, unless you and your partner plan to be seated at your own wedding sweetheart table.
  • Children. Will children be attending your wedding? If so, you have the opportunity to keep them thoroughly entertained at their own table! By creating a table just for the kids, filled with coloring books, games, and other kid-friendly activities, you can ensure that they are pleased with their seats.

Properly seating your wedding guests is certainly of importance! These are just a few tips to assist you with creating your own wedding seating chart.
