I have many core memories of Marie + Nic's Riverside Farm wedding in Vermont, but most of all, I wish there was a way to waft the incredible fragrance of all the reception flowers from the reception through your screen so you could understand... I'll never forget the experience of walking into their reception barn. It was heavenly!

A Dreamy Vintage Garden Wedding Ceremony

Marie + Nic's vintage garden wedding ceremony was pure enchantment - where timeless elegance met the beauty of nature. Upon arrival, guests walked through a pair of vintage doors and entered one of the most whimsical settings we've ever imagined for a wedding ceremony. To bring the vintage aesthetic to the great outdoors, we enlisted the help of Kadeema Rentals who carefully selected and coordinated specific pieces for Marie + Nic's wedding ceremony. The lounge furniture as ceremony seating resulted in an imperfectly perfect mismatch of elegant (and very comfortable) seating for Marie and Nic's guests. Birds of a Flower created lush aisle runners on either side of the aisle, dotted with art-deco inspired cages which were used for a butterfly release at the end of the wedding ceremony. It was so magical to witness all the butterflies throughout the property for the rest of the weekend, it was as though they didn't want to leave!

farm to table cocktail hour

We love how Riverside Farm partners with Vermont Farms Catering for their food and beverage program. From our tasting to the send off brunch, everything was incredible: fresh and local, and made with great care. Marie and Nic's guests were treated to passed beverages and delectable bites while enjoying the scenery: if you're familiar with Riverside Farm, you'll notice something unique about this cocktail hour - there's no tent! Typically cocktail hours are hosted under a white tent, but Marie and Nic wanted their guests to enjoy an unobstructed view, and the Riverside Farm team graciously agreed to accommodate the request. You're probably sensing a theme here: no detail was overlooked - when planning a Gatsby-inspired anything, more is more, so the BBJ LaTavola linens were adorned with vines for an extra layer of oomph and guests enjoyed yard games from our sister company, Shenanigans.

A BARN WEDDING RECEPTION LIKE NO OTHER

Marie + Nic’s barn wedding was the epitome of elegance—proving that rustic venues can be transformed into truly extraordinary spaces. Their barn wedding reception was overflowing with fresh flowers, including multiple flower walls and delicate orchids at every place setting. Romantic taper candles cast a warm glow over 24-karat plated chargers from BorrowedBlu, setting the stage for a celebration that felt straight out of Gatsby’s most lavish dreams. Guests marveled at custom stationery by Emily Rose Ink, sipped from artisan glassware by Simon Pearce, and dined under ambient lighting designed by barn wedding specialists, DesignLight. To cap off the night, 802 Events kept the dance floor packed, while The Icing On The Cake delivered a sweet ending to this unforgettable barn wedding experience.
