Joanna + Diana

Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation

Waltham, Massachusetts

Diana and Joanna had a beautiful wedding ceremony in the park just outside of the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation in Waltham. They carefully crafted their wedding ceremony, incorporating many jewish traditions, such as circling under the chuppah, the signing of the ketubah, Sheva B’rachot (Seven Blessings) and of course, breaking the glass. We were fortunate to have Rocker In Love Photography on hand to document the day, joined by second shooter Paul Gargagliano.

After the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the museum for cocktail hour while free to roam and take in the displays and artifacts. Surrounded by timeless treasures, like old automobiles, watches and teleph0ne switchboards, guests mingled and enjoyed appetizers and beverages served by Premier Bar Service & Catering.

Sefira Bell-Masterson, a friend of Joanna and Diana, designed the florals for the event, using wildflowers from Field Edge Flowers. The selection was bright and colorful and complimented the day perfectly. We also loved having Blue Ribbon Barbecue cater the wedding.

One of the things that always amazes me with all of my couples is how incredibly brave and vulnerable they allow themselves to become. Joanna and Diana are no exception: from the very beginning, they invited me into their home, shared their wedding planning fears and stressors with me, and allowed me to offer insight and guidance, never questioning the method – they trusted the process, ultimately focused on having a beautiful day surrounded by their closest friends and family members. Their trust in the process resulted in a beautiful day that was high energy and full of fun – from the start of the ceremony to the very last song, you could tell that all the guests truly enjoyed celebrating the love that Joanna and Diana had for each other.
