COVID Wedding
Resource Center

each state has its own set of guidelines for weddings and other social gatherings. to find the most up-to-date guidance, use the links below.

One reason it's so difficult to find straightforward rules for weddings during COVID is because weddings require a variety of services from a number of industries. For example, hair and makeup professionals will have to follow guidance for professional services. Your catering and beverage team(s) will need to adhere to the guidelines set forth for the food service and/or restaurant industry. DJs and Bands will need to follow the guidance for entertainment.

It's also important to remember that each state has specific rules and guidance for anyone who is visiting from out of state. If you have guests, or vendors who will cross state lines to be at your wedding, they likely will need to quarantine for a period of time and/or obtain a negative COVID test, at a minimum.

Keep in mind: every individual has their own comfort level. Many vendors have implemented their own guidance in addition to the state requirements, so you'll want to ask your wedding pro team about their COVID rules and restrictions.

want a summary of covid guidelines for weddings?

We've read through each state's guidelines and asked for insights from our industry friends who have been working to ensure safe events for their clients.

This project took us months to complete because the guidelines are constantly changing as we learn more about the virus and how it is spread.

Our summaries should be used as a launching point to help you plan and manage expectations, but please do ask your vendor team and look to your state and local governments for the most up-to-date guidance. Use the buttons below to read our summary for each state.
